Construction of the Armenian Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator began in 2006, and the temple was completed in September 2017.

The temple was built following the traditions of Armenian architecture, according to the project of architect Artak Ghulyan and Vladimir diocesan architect Alexander Trofimov.  250 tons of Armenian tuff were brought from Armenia for the construction of the church. The height of the church is 37 meters. Both Armenian and Russian icon painters and sculptors participated in the design of the temple. Russian masters also worked on the frescoes and the bell.

A Sunday school operates from the building of the Armenian cultural center that was built near the church.

The church is located in Vladimir, Pogodina Street, 10
